TEG is now hiring in our civil engineering team.
TEG has created a new civil engineering position for what we are calling a Liaison and Design Engineer.
TEG is a civil and structural engineering firm founded in 2011, and has grown to its current size of 16 team members. TEG has been involved in over 2,000 projects with a focus on Southern California. Projects range from custom residences to live music venues to television shows.
The liaison portion of the position will have a strong focus on communication and social interaction. Typical tasks associated with this position include:
Meeting and coordinating with clients
Meeting and Coordinating with Governing Staff (such as city, county, and state officials)
Provide coordination between trades such as mechanical engineers and surveyors
Assist managing team leader with project organization and Grading Design
Address plan check corrections
Process city clearances and permitting
The design engineer portion of the position will have a strong focus stormwater mitigation and quality control for single family residential, multifamily residential, and commercial projects. Typical tasks associated with this position include:
Drainage and Low Impact Development Design (LID)
Stormwater Treatment (LID, SUSMP, WQMP)
Stormwater Management (SWMP)
Site Protection (SWPPP, ESCP)
The primary project locations are:
City of Los Angeles
City of Malibu
County of Los Angeles (unincorporated Malibu)
City of Santa Monica
What we are looking for with the following characteristics:
Sociable
Friendly
Eager to Learn
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Experience with civil design document preparation a plus
Proficiency with AutoCAD a plus
Ability to work within a team environment at our physical office

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
